First off, Our guide, Sammie was AWESOME!! She was very knowledgeable and very patient with us! Saw many sites!
Sammy was awesome!! Seeing a female moose was great. Trying different salmon was delicious. Hood lake was very interesting.
Fun introduction to the city! Perfect after traveling 16+ hours when you don't have energy yet to walk much. Kind guide.
Jonathon was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and did a great job educating us on each site! You can tell he is passionate about what he does!
Our guide, Sam (Samantha) was very enthusiastic and took us to many points of interest. One being the Ulu (knife making) factory where the ulu and cutting boards are handmade was a demonstration of great craftsmanship.
Another stop was at Beluga Bay - beautiful views of the bay and mountains.
Along the way Sam shared some personal insights like where to go to eat halibut sandwich , for example, (White Spot Cafe), which we ended up going to after the tour and other spots.
I had a great time on this tour learning the history of Anchorage and some of the lure behind certain landmarks as well. Very informative and fun! I enjoyed getting the taste the local jams and smoked salmon, lots of great tips from a great tour guide!
Not having a lot of notice to plan much... my colleague and I were in town and wanted to do a little tour. Looked up Viator and easily booked one.
Not only did everything go as planned... we had the extreme pleasure of having Sean ( I hope I spelled his name right) as our guide. So friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He picked us up in and very nice comfortable van that was impeccably clean and new. Went to many great areas for history and photo opportunities! Shopping as well. If you are in town and want an awesome tour... PLEASE book through Viator. They are outstanding!! Thank you for the best Day!!!
This was an excellent tour! Very informative and Ben was so knowledgeable sharing history of Alaska and showing us amazing sites! Would definitely recommend!
Our guide was very experienced about Anchorage city tour. He was born there so knows all over the place very well.
Our first time in Anchorage so the 4 of us thought a tour was a good idea. Ben picked us up at our hotel and took us on a very informative tour. We were very pleased with all the places Ben took us. I got a ton of pictures. Great tour, would recommend.
The tour guide is very good, 49 dollars should be okay. But the places to go can be better. Recommended for passengers who have just arrived on the day. This is better than traveling in a red car with 20 and 30 dollar. Because you can get off and walk around.
The tour is ok considering there is not much to see in Anchorage
The tour seems more like - souvenir purchasing tour
ULU Factory - 3 minutes explanation then ready for your purchase
Alaska Wild Berry Products Factory - you are in your own - is a store to purchase souvenir's
Not a lot of info about Alaska's history and culture
The best part is the collections of Alaska Native art at the Alaska Native Medical Center - recommended - but the first stop was at the gift shop before they close it.
Just unhappy with the tour. The guide took us to some interesting places which we then revisited with other tour companies who did a much better tour.
The pickup was fine and on time but then we got to hear all of the guides personal information and not much about Anchorage. I wish the guides would learn that we really don't care about all of their family problems, issues and concerns. We really just want to know about what we are seeing, the history and the background of the city we are visiting. Isn't that what we pay for?? She was a substitute guide and reminded us several times that she didn't really know or remember much about this tour. Ugh. Very disappointing to say the least. I hope the owner reads this and makes sure we are getting our money's worth.
