Bill was a great guide. His passion for Anchorage really came through. We got a sense of the history of the place and an appreciation of the fabulous countryside. We also saw Beluga whales! All in all if you only have a few hours in Anchorage this is an excellent way to spend an afternoon or evening.
This was the perfect way to spend our one afternoon in Anchorage! We loved seeing the salmon swimming and the beautiful parks. Our guide answered all our questions and taught us so much! Thank you for the wonderful tour!
Chad our guide did an outstanding job telling us about the area the history and the sites
I would recommend this adventure if you have never been to Anchorage
Very nice equipment for the tour
You can also customize what you would like to see
Amber picked us up at the cruise ship shuttle drop off in downtown Anchorage;on time and clearly identified. We covered a lot of ground seeing historical sights as well as scenic vistas. Amber was well informed and shared her enthusiasm of the Anchorage lifestyle with us. Plenty of stops for pictures and refreshments if we wanted. Well worth the money.
Our guide, Dawn, was excellent. We had a great tour. We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary, had taken our two daughters, their husbands and grandchildren 9, 11, and 15 on a cruise to Alaska. We wanted to see Anchorage before heading home and Dawn did an outstanding job.
We had a great time with Kristen from Great Land Adventures. There were last minute changes but they handled it like pro's and made me feel like I wasn't a pain but they were there to see that we had a good time. Which we did!! thank you again Steve and Kristen
We loved our Anchorage tour with Kristen - 3 of us are retired teachers, and all 8 of us bonded with her immediately. She managed to take us everywhere on the list and also work in additional photo ops for me at scenes from my high school days. Her lunch recommendation was brilliant, and her sharing of information regarding local history and issues was most welcome. Top marks all around!
Jay was an excellent guide he escorted us to all of the most scenic places in and around Anchorage. Such beautiful sites to see, Moose, Dall Sheep, Eagles are just some of the few.
The tour was great and the guide gave a lot of useful information. Only problem was as we were leaving the tour one of the party was confused and did not know that the tour had been paid for in full. The person paid him again in full and the guide did not say anything. Great tour, poor form.
First off, our tour-guide Kristen, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly and she was great with our three year old. Tours with a toddler can be tough potty breaks, boredom, etc and Kristen accommodated for us very well. Regarding the tour, having never been to Anchorage, it sounded pretty exciting... But, Anchorage is actually not that exciting, especially when it's cloudy and rainy, which it was all the day of our tour. Can't control the weather. I very much enjoyed learning the history of Anchorage as well as the contemporary oddities that set it apart from the lower-48. I would recommend the tour. However, since it is a private tour and thus flexible, I'd recommend they offer some alternate points of interest if the stunning vistas are not visible due to weather.
