  • We had such a great experience with our guide Chris hiking to see the beautiful waterfall. We were a bit apprehensive at first that the hike would be too challenging for us novices but Chris assured us that it was within our capabilities. We learned about plants, insects, birds and nature along the way. He even acted as our personal photographer and lended a helpful hand on some of the more challenging rocky areas. I would recommend doing this hike with a guide so you can learn more about the history of the area and it’s lush forests. We had a great time!! Chris was a great guide and a really nice person to boot!!

  • Randy is an excellent guide. The hike is beautiful. The waterfall is amazing. The hike was 2.4 miles round trip. It was perfect for families and beginners.

  • I absolutely enjoyed this tour with Chris as our naturalist guide. He was knowledgeable about the area and gave awesome recommendations on things to do and places to eat !

My favorite part of the tour was seeing the waterfalls and learning about the history of the area we toured.

  • Great hike to the falls, even in the light rain. Mike was an excellent guide! A nice amount of time for the tour.

  • It was my first time hiking and Mike our guide was wonderful and very patient.
He shared a lot of information about the hike and nature.
    I highly recommend Asheville Hiking.

  • Me and my wife enjoyed the trail, it was a wonderful experience. Abby, our guide was informative and friendly. She provided clear instructions for the meeting and the expectations. It’s worth your time and effort.

  • The hike was excellent, very educational with Randy pointing out and describing all types of wild plants and reciting historical facts of the area. Great to breathe the fresh mountain air in the Pisqah National Forest. 5*****!!

  • My husband and I wanted to find a hike to a waterfall but also knew the weather wasnt necessarily looking hiker friendly that day. Randy was our guide and he contacted us the day before to let us know he was watching the weather closely to ensure it would be safe. Fortunately, it held off until we were almost done. It was an easier hike, which was great and only 1.2 miles so we were done in a couple of hours. Randy knows so much about the nature on the trail and the prized waterfall at the end was worth seeing. So beautiful! We had a wonderful morning!

  • Randy was an excellent guide and had so much information to share with us. We had a wonderful hike and he shared tons of information with us. He even gave us other recommendations for activities we may also be interested in during our visit. My friend and I both enjoyed chatting with him and his tour. I definitely recommend!

  • Our guide, Emily, led our small group on an educational and easy walking hike to Catawba Falls. She met us near the entrance and was very knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna. Good titip to go early to avoid the crowds.
