  • Great time with a knowledgeable team! Marty and Ike were welcoming and very engaging. They kept the group entertained, and moving at a comfortable pace.

  • Steve was a great guide. The tour size was small so we got personal attention.
I would book another tour with Austin Detours

  • Our tour guide, Bobby made the trip very entertaining and informative!! Our whole group enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the wine and BBQ of the Texas Hill Country.

  • Brent took us on the tour and made sure we all got to know each other, he gave us enough time at each venue to enjoy the trip, would recommend!

  • My expectations were exceeded on this trip out to the wineries. Brent was personable, informative, and intelligent with a compassionate heart. The time he gave us at each excursion was perfect. Not too much and not too little. Our first stop was at the Salt Lick where were gorged ourselves in meat euphoria. Our next stop was the Driftwood Estate where we sampled wine comparable in taste to those of France, Italy, and YES CALIFORNIA! Delicious! Decadent! I had to buy some wine. Our last stop was the Duchman Family Winery, and that's where I seemed to loose it. As with the above taste comparisons out came my credit card, again and I purchased more succulent wines.Needless to say my carry-on bag had to be checked in. Brent gave us further recommendations to do in Austin and my friend and I took him on his recommendation and it was a perfect to end a perfect wine tasting day with Andrea Magee at the Saxon Pub. Kudos to you Brent and thank you for an unforgettable tour. Texas wines are better then good...they are GREAT!

  • Great tour and great tour guide. Loved Matt's enthusiasm and knowledge. Highly recommend him and the tour.

  • Chris , our tour guide did an excellent job of educating all of us. A great time was had by all.
    Thank you.

  • Our tour guide was Chris and he was great. The bbq was very good. I liked the 2nd Winery much better than the first.

  • Mark is an awesome tour guide! He was friendly, fun, provided lots of cool informative and gave us numerous suggestions on how to enjoy the rest of our time in Austin. We started at Salt Lick BBQ and the food was delicious! Then we went to two wineries where we tasted many wonderful wines. It was nice getting out of the city and seeing a different part of Texas. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Mark as your guide! He made the trip memorable!

  • This was great to see some areas outside of Downtown Austin. Our tour guide, Dustin, was friendly and knowledgeable! Don’t fill up on breakfast, as this tour gets you to the Salt Lick early to beat the crowd, and you want to try their food! The wineries were beautiful, with a great wine selection.

  • Very good, stopped at Salt LIck first for BBQ, and I was able to go to the winery for 5 minutes at that stop, next two stops were good, the scenery at the last stop was very nice, and good champagne/prosecco!

  • This tour is so great! My girlfriends and I went as a part of my bachelorette party weekend, and it was the perfect way to wind down our trip. The wineries were beautiful, the barbeque was awesome, and our tour guide Joe was so knowledgeable and funny! Definitely would recommend this tour to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin!

  • Had an amazing day on our tour. Jason was our driver and tour guide. Very passionate and knowledgeable about Austin. We wish we would have taken this tour on our first day. Highly recommend this tour.

  • We had a good time on this tour. It was a small group (5 total) but everyone was pleasant and got along. Our guide was great - upbeat, explained a lot about the area, BBQ history and the wine business in Texas. He make the tour, took pics of us whenever we asked, and was fun. We read the reviews and did NOT eat breakfast as our first stop was Salt Lick BBQ, which was delicious! So don't miss out on the best thing and come hungry!

  • Nice tour- a shuttle takes you to the Salt lick BBQ restaurant FIRST- so make sure you go hungry bc we ate lunch at around 11:30. In this tour only transportation is provided, so all your food and beverage is your responsibility. Salt lick was a really cool family owned BBQ spot. Service was fast and food was good. We then went to 2 wineries, both were nice, cute family owned and got to do tastings. Overall the tour was good and you get to see a part outside of the city- but i wouldn't recommend this tour if its your first trip to austin and you only have a few days. Tour guide Elisa was great and friendly.

  • Dustin was personable and helpful. The tour was perfectly timed to avoid the legendary Saltlick crowds. The two wineries were fun and we found a fre wines we really liked.

  • We had a great time, made new friends and a lot of laughs, great tour guide
