  • I arrived in Austin without a car and decided the best way to see the city was my bicycle. I signed up with the city bike tour and when I arrived I was told I was the only one who signed up that day. Maybe the humidity and excessive heat had something to do with it. It did not deter me and I’m thankful.
Michael, my fearless leader gave me a one-on-one tour of your magical city! Not only was he knowledgeable of each point of interest but he was warm and a pleasure! He stole my heart when we discovered a turtle in crisis and we stopped so Michael could lead her back to safety and water!!! Thank you to ALL of you at the shop for giving me a first rate glimpse of Austin. Your kindness will be remembered!!!

  • Great guide with a lot of good side and informative stories. Well worth it! Definitely would do one of their tours again.

  • Our guide Omar was eager to please and informative about all the areas around Lady Bird Lake that we visited.

    Thanks Omar

  • We really enjoyed this bike tour. Paul, our guide, did a great job of pointing out a variety of sights in the area, and also added history and stories at each stop along the way.

  • Great way to see Austin for the first time. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this tour.

  • My family and I loved our bike tour. It was the only thing that felt normal the entire time we visited Austin. We got to see the beautiful parts of the city.

  • The bike tour was great. It was everything I expected it to be and more. We got a great overview on the history of Texas. We biked all along the lake, river, saw Barton creek (personal favorite), got fantastic views of the city from various locations, biked down Rainey street, saw all the neat new construction surrounding the city, went into the capital building and finished the trip biking along river ways that you would not know about if you did not live and explore Austin. I recommend this tour to anyone who want to see Austin parks, water body’s and downtown.

I have to give a shout out to George our amazing, fun tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, organized a fun quirky tour with lots of history and hidden insights into Austin culture and downtown expansion. I would have him for my tour guide again when I am back in Austin.

  • Thanks Jacob for all the great scenery and information on Austin. Learned a lot about Austin and even a few little secrets. Jake up was easy to understand spoke clearly and shared lotta great information. Thank you Jason

  • Leisurely trip through and past may city sights. The tour guide provided information at each stop and offered city recommendations for after the tour. I would recommend this as an active and fun activity for groups and solo travelers alike.

  • Fantastic way to see the city and get some exercise on a Saturday morning. Chip is a great tour guide and very conscious of everyone's comfort and safety. I highly recommend this tour.

  • This is my second time here in Austin . This tour was great for me because it gave me a real insight into the layout of Austin, and some cool places to go. The guys at the bike shop were really cool, and Mark is a great guide .

  • We took our two foreign exchange daughters on this tour. We all had a blast. Seeing Austin by bike was such a unique way to see and learn about the city of Austin. It was definitely one of their highlights of their year in Texas. I highly recommend this tour to locals and visitors alike.

  • One of the best tours I have ever taken! Our guide was awesome, and even in 90 degree weather it was a very pleasant ride.

  • Our guide Mack was absolutely fabulous! A true native/local and has a love for Austin and her history. Funny, smart and easy going. Took us everywhere and was quite patient with those of us who had a slower pace than others. HIGHKY RECOMMEND. Great way to City and learn all about Austin.

  • Two of us took the Austin in a Nutshell Bike Tour on Apr-14-18 and LOVED it. Our guide Cody Rodgers was awesome super friendly, and knowledgeable. We thought the tour was a great way to see the city and especially get an appreciation for the fact Austin and it's climate, really lends itself to an outdoor and active lifestyle. Being on this tour, I felt as though I was a local enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning.

The tour winds its way through a portion of Barton Springs and Zilker Park then rolls along the river, over to downtown and up to the State Capital Building. Cody had stops planned along the way for photo ops and a bit of history/city information -- we really enjoyed these stops and felt we learned quite a bit we would otherwise have missed.

Our favorite parts of this tour: Meeting Cody and Shortythe resident dog at Barton Creek Bike Rental, the stop at the Bat Bridge, riding along the boardwalk, the Ai Wei Wei sculpture, the capital building and the outdoor graffiti park. Please note that it's our understanding the Ai Wei Wei sculpture is a temporary installation and the graffiti park is on private property slated for development -- get there before you miss these great sites!

  • This was a great experience. Santiago, the tour guide did an outstanding job. I enjoyed learning the history of Austin, seeing the beautiful sites. Good workout, too!

  • Super accommodating and enjoyed the ride! Unfortunately, due to extremely cold weather everyone in our group asked to cut the tour short. Too bad for us, because the tour and is beautiful and interesting! Everyone at this bike shop was very nice and helpful and wanted their customers to have a great time. Cheers to the team! I would definitely recommend them.

  • It was amazing! Definitely worth it!

  • Everyone working at the bike and your shop was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the beautiful Austin weather and scenery. The hotel pickup and drop off was a great plus as well! The tour was about 9 miles and not too difficult.

  • Perfect way to see an awesome city. Staff and Tour Guide Cody were excellent. Highly recommended!

  • This is a great way to see the city in ways and in areas that you might never have gotten to visit otherwise. The guide was terrific, the bikes were great, and the touring was a blast with a good pace. Do it!

  • We loved our tour of Austin with Sasha. She was a great job and we saw many sights we would not have found on our own. We biked about 10 miles, but it wasn't hard at all. The bikes were in good shape and adjusted well for us. Biking is a great way to see Austin. Try it!
