Stop At: Mauna Kea, Island of Hawaii, HI

Enjoy a unique stargazing experience with free photos of your trip.

Duration: 2 hours

Activity Details
Led by an Analog-Astronaut and Pro Astro-Photographer, we are the only stargazing company that avoids the bright moon and hand-selects time slots for optimal stargazing views.

The tour comes in 3 parts:

First:
Your guide will point out celestial objects and constellations with a powerful green laser pointer, talk about his time as an Analog-Astronaut, ancient Polynesian navigation and more.

Second:
View live details of deep space using the most sophisticated, light-sensitive camera/scope out of any company in Hawaii. Look at epic views of deep space objects like Galaxies and Nebulas that you didn't know was possible.

Third:
Your Astro-Photographer guide will take a few stellar photos of you with the Milky Way in different poses.

All medium resolution photos taken throughout the trip are included in the price.

-Photos in the description are taken by James.
-High Resolution upgrades are available.

  • Very cool stargazing and James was very personable and funny. The pictures we received were amazing. We loved having a smaller group and the option of driving to the location ourselves so we didn’t have to be with a big group of strangers for 8 hours like some of the other tours. My one and only suggestion would be to bring out some hiking chairs to make looking up (because you will do this for 2.5 hours straight) a little easier on your neck.

  • An excellent tour. The views are amazing and James is extremely knowledgeable. His pictures provide a lifetime memory.

  • James is the perfect guide for this tour. Super knowledgeable and provides everyone with information about our galaxy. He personally checks the weather/moon charts for each individual tour to ensure the best conditions are met so you can be sure you have an amazing tour. Takes you to locations that are not filled with a bunch of other tours/people so you have the place to yourself. He also uploads all the photos extremely quickly, and they come out amazing! I would highly recommend this tour.

  • We had a great time and learned a lot on our tour. James is a great guide, very knowledgeable and a great photographer. It is definitely a little chilly up there so dress warm. We highly recommend this tour and have memories that will last a lifetime.

  • James was very professional and knowledgeable. He has all the equipment to take wonderful pictures. The meeting point was a little confusing as the pin he sent us took us to the middle of the road. I am glad we went early to check out the place and texted him. He resent the pin and everything turned out good. Perhaps some directions or description of the meeting point will help. This is our first time there and it was really dark. The photos were amazing, although James had to touch up one of our photos. We were hoping to hear more stories about the different stars. Oh.... It is really cold, standing out there for 1.5 hours.
