  • In June we did a Boston History and Highlights Small Group Walking Tour with Tim Mitchell. We were very fortunate to have gotten Tim as our tour guide. The breadth and depth of his knowledge is very impressive. Tim connected so many parts of history to events happening today, how our Constitution was formed, the intimate and detailed personal history of many of our Founders, the sparks of the Revolution, details of many of the significant characters involved in the Revolution. So much of this knowledge must have been obtained by doing his own extensive research. Simply impressive.

His enthusiasm for the subject and the fact that his energy was still there even near the end of the tour. In fact he seemed to become more energized the more we went.

Although we had some others on the tour who contributed to the discussion and feel of the tour, it in no way detracted from Tim’s excellent tour. Overall a great tour and an excellent guide, by far the best tour we have ever been on. We are going on a Mediterranean tour soon, I wonder if Tim could meet us there? Lol. Thanks so much Tim, your tour filled in a lot of blank spots in our knowledge of American history.

  • Sully was awesome! I shared with us a ton of interesting information. He was kind and personable! We enjoyed everything we saw!

  • Beacon Hill was super cool with gas lamps along the streets. Also the Memorial to the Black Civil war Brigade that fought so valiantly was impressive.

  • Tim was an excellent tour guide. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of Boston. The weather was gorgeous and the walk was all worthwhile.

  • This was a truly magnificent tour! Bob was great--knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. We learned a lot, and had a wonderful time. The best part of the tour (though it is difficult to choose) was seeing the State House, and getting to go onto the Governor's Balcony--very cool!

  • This was a great tour and the small group size really allows you to learn extra fun facts and get all of your questions answered. We had Connor as our tour guide and he was really passionate about the city and showed us cool sights and inside stories you wouldnt learn without a knowledgeable guide.

  • Tour guide was great! Small group made it even nicer. My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend.

  • this walking tour was excellent our guide Bob was brillant knowledgeable funny he had the lot we cant recommend him highly enough . the small group we had the pleasure to be with were great, and the stop of for a little drink was great fun and got us all chatting

  • This tour offered a nice blend of historical and current day facts about Boston and its development. We followed portions of the freedom trail and we visited a number of the historic sites. The tour was made all the more memorable by our guide, Bob, who brought his own personal approach to the job. He was interesting and answered questions as we walked along. By the end, I felt as though I was among a group of friends. I would definitely take a tour with Urban Adventure and Bob again.

  • The guide was very informative. We enjoyed the break the tour had at a local pub to sit down and discuss sights. The guide was very attentive and careful to make sure we stayed safe. We also enjoyed the tour of the State House and the governor's office.

  • We enjoyed the tour very much. It gave us a good overview and hit most of the city’s most famous highlights. Our guide showed us a lot and was very engaging. The walk lasted longer than we expected and we loved that there was a break at a pub, beverage included. I would have rated it a five if there had been more emphasis on the pre-revolutionary events in Boston and their importance in the history of the founding of the country.

  • Sully did a good job showing us Long Wharf, old City Hall, and other Revolutionary War sites. He earned points with our group by hosting us to coffee on a cold day.

  • A walking foot tour that was more running than walking. If you have ANY mobility issues, this is not the tour for you....lots of stairs

  • The guide was not very knowledgeable. She was stating the facts that can be read in any book or google. The information on the history was very limited.
