  • Anton provided exceptional, useful pointers to all of us as he expertly took us thru the major points of interest in Chicago. He is a great photographer, helping us get the perfect pictures fronting Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline in the background! We had first time and newly relocated residents of Chicago in our group and all of us came away with insights and appreciation for the windy city! Grayline provided easy access and return thru the Palmer Hotel with the very helpful and polite Valerie!

  • Antoine was a great guide. He was informative, funny, and aimed to please. It was a thoroughly comprehensive tour.

  • This tour was amazing , and I recommend it for the very first day that you're vising Chicago. It will give you an idea of what you would like to spend time seeing and what could be saved for another time .

  • Great trip seeing all the Chicago sites.

  • First half of the tour going to museums and university of Chicago was excellent. Second half of the tour going through neighborhoods was boring.

  • We took the four hour tour of Chicago's South and North sides. We were very disappointed to learn that our tour was on a small "trolley", rather than a bus. The trolley had movable plastic for "windows" on much of the bus, which made picture taking through them nearly impossible. The seats were hard wooden slats, rather than cushioned seats and backs, which made for a very sore bottom and back after four hours.

  • I really cannot recommend this tour. It is not really a guided tour since there is a bus driver (who is doing his best) who announces the attractions but no guide to comment or provide information or stories. The plastic windows on the bus make it hard to see. Also if you are traveling solo you may be asked to exit the bus if you are the only traveler on the second half of the tour.

  • The driver spoke very fast which made it very difficult to understand him so we missed about 80% of the narrative.

  • I could not understand the commentary. The volume was ok, but the words were not distinct. All the passengers were complaining. The bus was not comfortable. The seats were hard and the window coverings were plastic - either open or closed. Hot when closed or extremely windy when open.

  • I was really excited to learn about the city in this four hour long tour, two hours touring the North side, two hours touring the South side. Unfortunately it wasn't the greatest. The driver was also the tour guide. The main issue was the loud noise coming from the engine of the shuttle, which made it VERY difficult to understand the driver the whole 4 hours! Also, the noise of the streets and cars was distracting from what he was saying. I think I probably understood about 30 of what he said, and the information I caught was very interesting. I just wished I could understood him clearly. During the first North side tour, he made a stop at the Lincoln Park Conservancy, which was nice to take pictures. During the second part of the South side tour, he stopped by the aquarium where there was a beautiful view of the city.
The tour had the potential to be a very successful and informative for those who really want to know about the city but unfortunately it was not worth the 48 I spent.
